Russian Government Scholarship • Arrival & Study Roadmap
How Your Start Date & Arrival Work in Moscow
A clear 4-step roadmap from Addis Ababa takeoff directly into your Kosygin University classroom
Send Flight Ticket to Kosygin
Russian university dormitories have strict security gate access. You MUST email your flight arrival date, landing time, and visa scan to imo@rguk.ru before boarding in Addis Ababa so your official dormitory check-in order (Направление на заселение) is issued and waiting for your arrival.
Landing at Moscow Airport
Upon landing in Moscow (Sheremetyevo SVO, Domodedovo DME, or Vnukovo VKO), passport control officers will hand you a small white paper called the Migration Card (Миграционная карта). Verify on the spot that "Учёба" (Study) is underlined as your purpose of visit. Never lose this slip—keep it safely inside your passport.
Report to Kosygin Office
By Russian federal migration law, international students must bring their Passport, Visa, and Migration Card to the Kosygin International Office (ул. Малая Калужская, д. 1, near Shabolovskaya Metro) within 3 working days of landing (Mon–Fri, 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM) for address registration and dormitory placement.
Rolling Class Start Date
Do not worry about arriving late in autumn or winter! Because international student visas are issued on rolling timelines worldwide, Kosygin’s Training Faculty (Подготовительный факультет / Подфак) places newly arrived students directly into active or intensive catch-up Russian language + art groups the very same week you check into your dorm.
Mandatory Pre-Flight Email: Notify Kosygin of Your Arrival Date
Email your coordinator before departing Addis Ababa to issue your dormitory check-in order and campus security gate pass
